Slide 1 of 9
Notes:
We met each other late in life. I couldn't get past his physical appearance. He looked so much like my father. Not only his appearance, but also his gestures, and even the timbre of his voice. It was difficult for me to concentrate on our conversation. I was so transfixed by his appearance. I felt immediately that I knew everything about him.
We found an instant bond. He grew up without his natural father, and so did I. Not only that, my own father grew up without his father. The Judge said his Dad did, too. Of course, he meant Jesse James Jr., whom he called Daddy. Going back another generation on his side and on my side, those sons too grew up without the influence of their natural father. We discovered we both grew to adulthood among surrogate family.
